A quiet moment

It’s almost here. December!!!

I love December because it holds my favorite holiday. I love Christmas, the lights, the trees, the gifts, the meaning of the holiday, the FAMILY!

We have been busy around here ordering a few gifts, stitching a few gifts, working on the house in anticipation of guests. (No, not Santa.) My grandchildren are coming. Of course, their mom and dad will be with them too.

In case you haven’t heard Emma will be 17 months old and Remi will be 2 1/2 months old when they get here. We are going to have fun.

Sorry, I hate quilting blogs, that aren’t about quilting, but I hope you will forgive me.

I don’t have a lot of time to spare so I’m just going to share a few pictures of gifts I have been working on. Shhh…. don’t tell anyone.

These are small needle cases that are stitched entirely by hand. They have silk ribbon embroidery and a bit of beading. They are fun to make. Someday I’ll share how to make them if anyone is interested.

One thing I want to focus on next year (yes, it is time to start thinking of those things) is my photography skills. These little cases are much lovelier in person. The pictures just do not do them justice.

Have a Quilty Day!
